About

I’m Jillian Flemmig, LICSW (she/they), therapist and business owner of Plumeria Psychotherapy PLLC.

I am here to support in your journey of (re)connecting with yourself and making meaningful changes in your life. I work with adults in individual therapy to understand how your past shapes your present to get to the root of long-standing patterns and challenges. I am collaborative in my approach and tailor our sessions to address your specific goals.

My practice is anchored in social justice values to co-create an affirming space that supports your sense of safety and empowerment. My identities as a multicultural, queer, and mixed race immigrant deeply inform my values in communal care, collective liberation, and honoring the cultural knowledge and ancestral wisdom that each of us carries. As a clinical social worker, I strive to understand how power, privilege, and the systems we live under impact your sense of self and how you have learned to navigate the word. I also enjoy bringing creativity and playfulness into our work together. Outside of therapy, I love spending time outdoors, goofing around with friends, and painting.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here

Plumeria

Plumeria Psychotherapy is named after a flower that blooms across nations and is treasured throughout cultures. The plumeria can represent a symbol of new beginnings, healing, and strength. In my family traditions, the plumeria signifies seasons of profound change and honoring ancestral connections. Therapy is a space where we can cultivate the conditions that best support your growth and inner liberation. Each person has unique pathways towards healing and wisdom they bring to their journey. Plumeria Psychotherapy offers empowering therapy that honors your totality and believes in your inherent capacity to grow and bloom.

Education & Experience

I’m licensed in Washington as an independent clinical social worker (LICSW) and have worked in the behavioral healthcare field since 2019. My clinical experience has grown through working with communities navigating various intersections of identity across environments. I previously offered therapy services at an outpatient practice primarily working with BIPOC and immigrant adults, at an LGBTQIA-focused community mental health agency where I also co-created and facilitated grief support groups, and with families and youth with developmental and intellectual disabilities in school, clinic, and community settings.

  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State

  • Master of Social Work from Seattle University with a sub-specialization in trauma-informed practice

  • Bachelor of Arts from University of Washington in Medical Anthropology and Global Health, and Evolutionary Biology, with minors in Microbiology and Spanish

  • Fellow of the Minority Fellowship Program by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for specialized training in addressing health disparities and advancing mental health services that are culturally-responsive for marginalized racial/ethnic communities

Values & Community

I regularly engage in clinical consultation groups to integrate feedback on how I can continuously grow as a therapist and person. I am grateful to be a part of the Kitsungi Therapist Collective to be in community with practitioners that are committed to liberatory practices of care that honor the humanity of both clients and therapists. I seek to decolonize therapy to foster a space where all your identities and experiences are welcomed. I am committed to my own lifelong work of unlearning and relearning to best support your transformation and liberation.
